About me

My name is Mike. I’m a lower-middle class American journalist and writer, son of an artist and a firefighter. Like everyone, I’m trying to get by. This “blog” is one of several skis on the rickety sled I’m building for the attempt.
Here you will find on occasion, in various states of disrepair, those scraps of my writing— essays mostly and other laboratory experiments—that I have, due to one lapse of judgment or another, deemed worthy of some sunshine. On the redshift we play the blues. But there is wonder aplenty, and some fun where I can find it.
